For me to try and convey what Cerebus is, what it speaks to and what it means, would be like trying to describe the colors of a golden sunset over the mountains as viewed through the depths of an old growth forest to a blind man. It would be like trying to describe the flavor of a Mai-Tai to someone that has had only water. It would be like trying to play Mozart or Beethoven on a cheap toy piano. There are no words! For me to even attempt a short review (much less a comprehensive one) would take more time than I'm willing to spend and more text than you're probably willing to read. I can only say, as a guy, that I found it funny and exuberent, meloncholy and morose, thoughtful and honest, and at times frighteningly relevent and personally touching.
Congratulations and my heartfelt thanks to Dave Sim and Gerhard for their perseverence and dedication to a task that many, probably them included, must have thought overwhelming and impossible to comprehend.
Cerebus is gone. Long live Cerebus! Long live the Prime Minister! Long live the Pope! Long live the Kitchen Staff Supervisor!
